2010 L.A. Auto Show: Mercedes-Benz BIOME concept


In this year’s Los Angeles Auto Show, Mercedes-Benz introduced a super-lightweight energy saving concept sports car BIOME in the Design Challenge. This M-Benz is in the Advanced Design Studios in California, Carlsbad, they derived their inspiration in nature, combined with eco-system, so the materials are all organic substances, in addition to the exhaust pipe is pure oxygen, when body was scrapped, all can be used as building materials or compost. BIOME concept is only 454 kg weight, in addition, its body is formed by two sheet metal pieces, as appearance, is to be coated forward from the factory emblem in the rear, the interior is set back from the front, just like embedded combined approach.
